Walnut Elementary School will be recognizing Red Ribbon Week from 10/23-10/27. This is a perfect opportunity for you to discuss the topic of drug prevention with your child. We are promoting healthy choices all week.
Monday - "Turn you back to drugs!"
Students Wear their clothes backwards
K-2 McGruff Assembly
Tuesday- "Hugs, not drugs!"
Students bring a stuffed animal to school
Students sign a pledge to make healthy choices
Wednesday - "Unity Day"
Students and staff send one large ORANGE message of support, hope, and unity to show
that we are together against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.
Thursday - "Team up against drugs!"
Students wear sports team shirt or Walnut El Shirt
Students sign the class pledge that is to remain in the library for the 2017-2018 school
year
Friday - "Hocus Pocus - Drugs aren't my focus!"
Students wear sunglasses to school
