Spirit Day!

Wear Walnut Elementary spirit gear every Friday to show your school spirit!

Friday, Aug. 30- Hats and Sunglasses!  The summer heat is still going strong!  Wear a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from those UV rays!

Friday, Sept. 27-Athletic Attire Day! Wear your sport uniforms or shirts that show your favorite teams.  Running shorts, yoga pants, and dance gear are perfect for this day!

*Thursday, Oct. 31-Fall Clothes and Costumes!  Wear your costume or favorite fall outfit, but make sure we can see your face (no masks allowed) and that your shoes are appropriate for recess.  

Friday, Nov. 22- Celebrate our Cultural Differences! Wear traditional clothing from your culture or one that peaks your interest.  Have a Dodger jersey from a heritage night? This is the perfect opportunity to wear it!  

*Thursday, Dec. 19-Pajama Day! The best spirit day of the year!  Wear  your jammies and bring a small plushy to school!  Even better…it’s a minimum day!  Dismissal Times: TK/K-11:30; 1st-3rd-11:35; 4th-5th-11:40

Friday, Jan. 31- Fancy Friday!  Mr. Chang’s favorite spirit day of the year, because he gets to dress like he does everyday.  Dress up in a collared shirt, nice slacks/shorts, fancy dress, or skirt and top!  Bring your best behavior to match your best outfit!

Friday, Feb. 28-Celebrate Read Across America with Book Character Day!  Dress up as your favorite book character and if you have the book, bring it to read at school and/or share with your peers.

Friday, Mar. 28- Shirts with Words! It’s literacy month!  Wear a shirt with words.  Bonus if your shirt has kind words or teaches something!

Friday, Apr. 25- Twin Day!  Have you noticed someone with the same shirt or jacket as you?  Today is the day to wear it together.  Gather your friends and wear matching outfits!

Friday, May 23- We love the USA!   Wear red, white, and blue!
