New Student Enrollment

To begin the process of enrolling your student to Walnut Elementary, please have the following documents:

1. If student is living with parent(s):

a. Either a close of escrow paper, current monthly mortgage statement, current year's property tax statement, current rental/lease agreement, or current month rental receipt

b. A current utility bill or turn-on receipt (gas, water, electric)

c. CA Drivers License or CA Identification with the SAME address shown on documents

d. A form of student identification (with name, date of birth, photo, etc.)

2. If student is living with a guardian:

a. Same residency proof as for parents in #1 plus proof of legal guardianship.

b. If student is living with a relative, and legal guardianship has not been established a "Caregiver's Authorization Affidavit" form must be completed.

3. If student's family moves into the home of another family:

a. Declaration of Residency document (Part I and Part II) are required. The family with proof of residence must meet the requirements of #1 above. If a family has a child already enrolled in the Walnut Valley Unified School District, a current utility bill is required as proof of continued residence.

4. Proof of age (birth certificate, passport, or notarized baptismal record)

5. Proof of immunizations (which must be completely updated before they can enter school)

If your child is entering TK/Kindergarten, you will also need:

A. Proof of an oral health assessment no earlier than 12 months prior to enrollment.

If your child is entering Transitional Kindergarten, please Click here:

A child whose birth date falls between September 2, 2020-September 1, 2021, will be accepted into Transitional Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year.

A child whose birth date falls between September 2, 2019-September 1, 2020, will be accepted into Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year.
