Hello,

My name is Mrs. Takayama and I am our school's Elementary Learning Specialist or ELS. My job looks different at each school site, but the one thing that is the same all over Walnut Valley is that the ELS helps to make the school a better place.

 

You may see me in the mornings greeting our students and helping with traffic flow, or at recess reminding our students about PBIS expectations and passing out horseshoes.  You might learn with me in the computer lab or in a classroom.  I often stop by to read aloud during our book fair week and you might even catch me eating lunch with our students in the lunch area.  I work with small groups of students for both enrichment and intervention.  I also work closely with Community Club and will see you at many of our school events.

 

I am the admin on our school's Facebook page.  Please search for Walnut Elementary and look for the image of Walnut Elementary as displayed on the gate in the front of our school!  Once you request the add to our group, please send me a message via Messenger so that I can approve your request.
